Philanthropy watchdog group begins search for exemplary foundations to recognize at 2015 NCRP Impact Awards
Washington, D.C. (1/15/2015) – The National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy (NCRP) today announced a call for nominations for the 2015 NCRP Impact Awards. Now in its third year, the awards celebrate foundations that have shown leadership and innovation in solving the country’s toughest problems. The awardees and their impactful work will be celebrated at a reception on Tuesday, May 19, during the Center for Effective Philanthropy’s Conference in San Francisco.
The awards will honor grantmakers that practice high-impact philanthropy in four categories: Large Private Foundation, Small/Midsized Foundation, Corporate Foundation and Grantmaking Public Charity. These foundations maximize the impact of their giving by attacking the root causes of social problems, empowering underserved communities and helping improve the philanthropic sector as a whole through public leadership.
Nominations are open to all and winners will be selected based on criteria that addresses exemplary grantmaking, leadership in philanthropy and a commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity. All are encouraged to participate by nominating up to 10 foundations by February 6. Additional information about the NCRP Impact Awards and nomination forms are available on NCRP’s website.
