Preparations for the 2016 NCRP Impact Awards reception are well underway and we’re excited to share the news that Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) will be joining us in congratulating this year’s awardees.

Rep. Ellison is the first Muslim elected to the federal government. Guided by his philosophy of “generosity and inclusion,” his priorities in Congress are to “promote peace, prosperity for working families, environmental sustainability and civil and human rights.” Before being elected to Congress, Rep. Ellison was a community activist with a law practice in Minneapolis specializing in civil rights, employment and criminal defense.

For the past three years, the NCRP Impact Awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the power and possibilities of communities working together to overcome injustice, the leadership and vision of trail-blazing work and the values of diversity, inclusion and equity in action. This year’s reception promises to be the most inspiring yet and we hope you can be a part of it.

RSVP for free now. Community leaders along with nonprofit and foundation staff are welcome! (No, you don’t need to be registered for the Grantmakers for Effective Organizations’ National Conference to attend.)
