The long wait is finally over! I’m excited to announce the recipients of the 2016 NCRP Impact Awards for their exemplary grantmaking, leadership and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. I’m so inspired by their vision, courage and humility in helping solve our country’s tough problems in partnership with activists, advocates and community members.

And the awardees are … (drum roll, please!)

  • Consumer Health Foundation, Awardee for Small/Midsized Private Foundation
    This Washington, D.C., foundation is dedicated to making a difference in the health of the community. CHF advocates for health and racial equity through programs and investments that advance the health and well-being of low-income communities and communities of color.
  • Evelyn & Walter Haas, Jr. Fund, Awardee for Large Private Foundation
    Inspired by the vitality of its hometown of San Francisco, the Haas, Jr. Fund seeks to fulfill its founders’ vision of a just and compassionate society where all people have the opportunity to live, work and raise their families with dignity.
  • Patagonia, Awardee for Corporate Foundation
    Patagonia is an outdoor apparel company based in Ventura, California. A certified B-Corporation, its mission is to build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm and use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis. Patagonia is recognized internationally for its commitment to authentic product quality and environmental activism, contributing over $68 million in grants and in-kind donations to date.
  • Sandler Foundation, Awardee for Grantmaking Public Charity
    Based in San Francisco, California, Sandler Foundation invests in strategic organizations and exceptional leaders that seek to improve the rights, opportunities and well-being of others, especially the most vulnerable and disadvantaged. Their grantees work to advance policy change and innovative scientific research to improve health.
